Happy Wednesday KorKers!
I hope you’ve all had a safe and fun wonderful Memorial Day weekend! Mine was pretty good- I spent time with my family and Godparents up in the mountains and relaxed some, which was nice. Anyway, I just wanted to take a moment to talk about two major events that are occurring all over the nation- summer is slowly arriving, with warmer weather in tow, and more importantly for some high school [and college students] (and their parents)- GRADUATION!
To all of the members of the Graduating Class of 2013- CONGRATULATIONS! You did it! You’ve earned your high school (or college) diploma!
But…what’s next for you? Go to work? Go back to college? Enlist in the military? Are you going to move out on your own? These are just a few of the many questions that you may find yourself asking or being asked.
Well, this funny, realistic, and utterly awesome song by two of my favorite YouTubers, Rhett & Link, might help you understand what it’s really like once you graduate. (It was like this for me when I graduated from high school a few years ago and moved on to college- to a tee!)
Well, whether you’re going off to college or on your own, Graduates, I wish you all the best- go on out into the world and change it for the better, and do something that you love! If your career is what you love, then you’re not really ‘working’, you’re just having fun- which is an added bonus! Take chances, make risks, work hard, follow your dream- and try not to regret anything that happens, they’re just small stepping-stones on your journey and will make you who you will become in the end.
With that in mind, Graduates- enjoy the rest of your life!
